Western China Patterns: True West
|
Read the endorsement from Till Goodan's family! FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 21, 2004 True West Expands Product Line with Exclusive License (Royse City, TX) Mark Clay, President
and owner of True West, today announced an agreement wit The first product to hit the market is dinnerware in the "Boots and Saddle" design including Mr. Goodan's signature. Like True West's "Rodeo" pattern china, the new line is made in America. The dinnerware is manufactured to the same high standards as the original Westward Ho china produced by Wallace China Company from 1943 to 1964. Till Goodan began receiving recognition for his western art in the 1930’s after he spent his early years riding, roping and drawing on his family farm in California. A wholesale company purchased two of Till Goodan’s paintings to put on display at a trade show. The paintings caused so much interest that plans were made to meet with Mr. Goodan. The Westward Ho dinnerware featuring Till’s designs was the outcome of that meeting. True West has been producing the Westward Ho/ Rodeo pattern china since 1990 and helped reintroduce America to this well-loved cowboy design.
